The Institute offers a number of taught executive short courses aimed at professionals involved in science, technology and innovation policy and strategy, or hoping to move into this area.

Masters

Members of the Institute teach on several Masters’ programmes across AMBS and the wider University, including on the MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. This course provides a unique combination of fundamental academic insights into the dynamics of innovation and entrepreneurship, aligned with an understanding of the practical challenges of being an innovative entrepreneur.

MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship

We also contribute to the new MSc in Science Communication being offered by the University of Manchester through the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine. This programme introduces perspectives on the roles of science and technology in society from history and sociology of science and technology, together with an insight into the practical challenges of communicating science and making science policy.

Members of the Institute contribute to a range of undergraduate course units on innovation and technology management, science policy studies, and sustainability issues. These are delivered through the BSc Management (Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship) through course units offered to students across the University via Business and Management for all Programmes (BMaP), and via the University College for Interdisciplinary Learning.
